Why we're changing. For good.
When we launched Zero Co, we believed a closed-loop system (where you return and refill pouches) was the best way to tackle the single-use plastic problem. But over time, we’ve come to realise that it’s not the perfect solution, and there’s a better way.
We’re numbers people, and the facts don’t lie. Here’s what we’ve learned about our current system:
- It generates high carbon emissions from shipping and cleaning.
- Returning pouches can be inconvenient for you. Only around 42% of pouches are returned, so the rest end up as single-use plastic.
