Our billion bottle plan.
Every great mission begins with a bold vision, and ours is clear: remove one billion water bottles’ worth of waste from oceans, rivers and beaches by 2050—or sooner. To reach this goal, we’ve supercharged our efforts with the 10-for-1 Promise. Now, for every product you buy we remove 10 bottles’ worth of waste. It’s a simple yet powerful approach that combats plastic waste on both fronts.
And so far? We’ve removed 45,002,344 water bottles and counting!
Our biggest milestone yet.
Earlier this year, we assembled a team for a cleanup at the mouth of the Guadalupe River in Cebu. Why Cebu? This region of the Philippines generates around 61,000 metric tons of waste every day, 24% of which is plastic. With landfills at capacity, Cebu—a major tourist destination—is struggling with an escalating waste crisis. Picture kids swimming in streams of waste and you get the idea.
The result? It speaks volumes.
Our Cebu cleanup was a trash-tackling success—and our biggest cleanup yet! Thanks to your support and our dedicated local team, we removed a staggering 223,381 kilograms of rubbish from the area in just 10 days. That’s the equivalent of 12.4 million water bottles’ worth of waste that didn’t make it to the ocean!
And thanks to this monumental cleanup, we've now collected 45 million bottles’ worth of ocean, river and beach waste globally. How’s that for proof that when we work together, we can make a measurable difference?
